Marlene Lahmer

Born in 1996. Graduated with an MA in Transdisciplinary Art from the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 2022. Currently enrolled in a PhD at the University of Arts Linz. Marlene is a feminist artist and writer. Her practice spans installation, performance, glass as sculptural form, text, and artistic research. Her expression and research overlaps social transformation with the characteristics of glass, which changes from solid to liquid with heat. In addition to her personal work, she is a member of the feminist collective Elsa Plainacher.

Hanako Miyamoto

Born in Kumamoto in 1987. Graduated with an MFA in Oil Painting from Joshibi University of Art and Design in 2012. Winner of the second Joshibi Berlin Award in 2019. Hanako creates artworks in order to confront “family,” a familiar yet incompatible other. In recent years, in addition to creating installations that incorporate elements of “home” as materials, she established the microresidence “AIR motomoto” in her hometown of Arao, Kumamoto, and has been inviting artists from Japan and overseas. During the residency operation period, she resides in Kumamoto.
