Lena Malm, Head of Visual Arts, IASPIS

Lena Malm is a curator and educator based in Stockholm. Since 2014, she has been working at IASPIS, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s International Programme for Visual and Applied Arts. She combines strategic development with curatorial practice, using international residencies, public programs, and expert visits to foster dialogue and collaboration between Swedish and international artists and art professionals.
At IASPIS, Malm leads projects such as the French-Swedish exchange programme Résonances, Cross Pollination: Curatorial Exchange across Sweden and Russia (2020–2023), as well as initiatives connected to major international exhibitions, including for example documenta and the Venice Biennale. She also participates in networks such as the Nordic Network, encompassing the Nordic countries, and other European networks, where she discusses and develops curatorial methods and international collaborations.
Lena Malm is recognized as one of Sweden’s most influential art professionals and is known for creating new meeting places between art, audiences, and institutions, where her curatorial initiatives manifest contemporary art.
