Kyoyukai Student Council

The student council of Joshibi High School and Junior High School of Art and Design is named “Kyoyukai” " literally the "Mirror Society" " after the school emblem "Yata mirror” which represents one of three sacred treasures in Japanese mythology.
Along with the student council, club activities also allow the students a richer experience of student life.
Activities of Kyoyukai council members

The activities of Kyoyukai council members comprise mainly of activities related to the Joshibi festival (cultural festival). The council members interview the clubs, groups, class exhibitors and volunteer groups wishing to participate and determine the final list of participating groups. The council members also organize participating groups, are present at the Joshibi Festival poster selection and produce the festival pamphlet. In addition, Kyoyukai council members are in charge of the individual exhibit corner at the Joshibi Festival. Aside from the Joshibi Festival, Kyoyukai council members are active in introducing new students to the clubs at the beginning of the school year, running the student general meeting, planning and operating the art contest where students present their own works, planning and operating fashion shows in the main hall, planning and operating the Kyoyu Night performance event, publishing the Kyoyu magazine, and running the bread-eating race and folk dancing at the athletic meeting.
